I must say that this is so far the best attraction in Bahrain that we've been to. It's located very near my office and by the sea. At least this one has an on-site museum next to it. Sadly we didn't have time to visit the museum. Just a reason to go again? Josh liked it.
Areas around the fort is still being excavated or should I say still left in ruins but the major restoration on the main fort looks like it is all done. I would recommend this place even for a casual visitor to Bahrain. It's in town and very easy to get to. Very clean and not too crowded. It has a nice cafe next to the museum where we had coffee while waiting for the sunset and the lights to go on illuminating the fort. Nice one, Bahrain. This one has our approval.
